Was crucified our Saviour.

Suff’ring He bore; There He was slain

Jesus our Lord, God’s own Son.

“I thirst,” the Saviour uttered;

And to God’s Lamb, pure, without stain,

A bitter cup, they gave Him

These words by Christ were spoken;

“Eli lama sabachthani.”

All was fulfilled by His death.

Our blessed Lord was buried.
